Do you think employers should give bereavement days for the death of pets?

I do. I know some people will say I'm stupid but I don't care. I worked in HR for 4 years and I truly think people should get at least one bereavement day for pets. I am an animal lover with 4 pets and if any of my babies died I'd be absolutely devastated. What are your thoughts?
