How common or rare is oral cancer?

Anyone can get mouth ulcers at any time - from food irritation to too much citrus/acidic/spicy foods and these usually go away on their own in about a week. Unless you have used chewing tobacco in the past, your chances of oral cancer should be very low. Follow your dentists' advice on good oral care and your risk factors should continue to be low.
