Why does she like me so much when she is so much cooler?

she likes you so much because of your personality! not knowing about your personal life hasn't made you a different friend in any way! if you truly are worried about this situation (which you really should not!) you should sit her down( casually like in a pub or something) and start to casually start up a conversation about her home life, drop hints something like "i'm looking for a new man" or something like that. but just be yourself :)
